FOR PEOPLE THAT WANT TO DO BETTER AT LIFE

FOR PEOPLE THAT WANT TO DO BETTER AT LIFE

Stop Starting Over Every Monday

The Game Of Achieving Life Daily is the habit course that shows you how habits are built and how to uncover the way they work for YOU.

It comes with a full year of the GOALD app, so you can play it every day and finally get what you really want in life.

It Was Never a Willpower Problem

Maybe you've said it to a friend. "I'm just not a disciplined person."

I get it. It sure feels that way. You start strong. You miss a day. Then two. Then it's gone, and you're back where you started, wondering what's wrong with you.

Here's the truth. Nothing is wrong with you.  You just need to find what works for you. Nobody ever shows you how a habit is really built. You got goals, apps and pep talks. You never get the method.

I say it like this:  knowledge is not power. It's only potential power. The How-To's and What-To-Do's are not enough.  If you cannot get yourself to do the things you know you need to do, then all the knowledge in the world will not help you.

This course fixes that part. The doing part.  The GOALD App is how you track it, gamify it, and stay on path.

How We All Got Here

Look at what you've probably tried. Each one got something right.

New Year's Resolutions

A fresh start feels great and a clean slate is full of hope and good intentions. But one day a year is a lot of pressure, and one bad week ends it.  And where does that leave you?  Feeling worse than before.

The 21-Day Challenge

Short and doable. But 21 days is a myth. A University College London study found it took people anywhere from 18 to 254 days to make a habit stick.  What works for one, might not work for another, and that's okay.

The Habit Books

Great ideas. I've read and listened to hundreds of self-help and personal development books, and dozens on habits alone. But finishing a book is not the same as changing your day.

The Habit Tracker Apps

Easy to check things off. But most are just a list plus a reminder. They assume you already know how to build a habit (most of us don't) and take a "one-size-fits-all" approach.

Who's Talking

In first grade, my teacher told my dad she'd hold me back if I didn't learn to color inside the lines like the other kids.  My dad said, "Like hell you will. He's not like all the other kids and you're not gonna make him like them."

He gave me permission to be different.  At 23 I dropped out of college and by 24 I had flipped my first house.  I've been self-employed ever since - 24 years and counting! Plus, according to Gretchen Rubin's Four Tendencies, I'm also a rebel.  I hate rules, even my own. So I learned to trick myself into doing the things that need to be done.

I've taught this on stage, including my talk "Your Habits Matter" in Montreal in 2016. And I'm living it right now. I'm rebuilding my own habits, a few at a time: Wim Hof breathing and meditation three times a week, 15 minutes of audiobooks a day, vitamins, three gratitude statements, and tracking my drinks.

I track every one of them in GOALD, the app I built because nothing else did it right.

What's Inside the Course

Every video runs about 3 to 5 minutes, so it's easy to digest, understand and put to work. Watch it, check it off, move on. Small wins, stacked. That's how you finish the course, and it's how you'll build every habit after it.

Is GOALD Right For You?

It's For You If...

You know what you should be doing, and you still don't do it.
You've started over on more Mondays than you can count.
You want a few habits that stick, not a whole new life by Friday.
You do things your own way and hate being told what to do.
You can give it 5 to 7 minutes a day.

It's Not For You If...

You want a magic pill or an overnight change.
You want an app to do the work for you.
You want to change everything at once.
You won't watch one short video a day.
You are unwilling to take responsibility for your life.

Still here? Good. This was built for you.

What This Costs Elsewhere

Habit training done right isn't cheap. BJ Fogg, the Stanford researcher behind Tiny Habits, sells his online behavior course for $299. It has 8 modules, like this one.

GOALD's paid plan is $24 a year on its own.

And the most expensive option of all is the one most people pick: another year of starting over.

Would It Be Worth It?

If all this did was get you to finally stick with one habit you've quit three times before, ...would it be worth it?

If all this did was end the Monday restarts, so you stop feeling behind, and start feeling better, ...would it be worth it?

If all this did was help you get a few steps closer to the life you imagine for yourself - the one you really want... and rightfully deserve, ...would it be worth it?

Yes? Then you owe it to yourself to give yourself the chance to go about things in a whole new way.

You Have Two Roads From Here

Road One

Keep doing what you're doing. Maybe the next attempt of doing it alone clicks this time. Plenty of people take this road, and some of them make it.

Road Two

Discover how you operate, learn the methods, try the habit hacks, play the game every day, and see where you are in 30 days.  You just get there sooner.

Questions You Might Have

I've read Atomic Habits. Is this different?

Yes. The books give you ideas. This gives you a plan you run every day, in an app built for it. And it's taught by a rebel, so it works on people who hate rules. If you liked the book, now you'll get to use it.

How much time does it take?

Each lesson is about 3 to 5 minutes. Even if you only watched one a day, you'd finish in about six weeks, with your habits already running. Small steps pointed in the right direction, compounded over time lead to big wins. That's the whole point.

Do I have to use the app?

No, but you'll want to. The course shows you how, and GOALD is where you do it. A year of it comes with the course, so there's nothing extra to buy.

Can I just get the app for free?

Yes. GOALD is free for up to 5 habits and 1 accountability partner, for as long as you want, at app.goaldapp.com. The course is what teaches you how to make habits stick, and it comes with a full year of the paid plan.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. The course and GOALD both work on iPhone and Android.

What happens after my year of GOALD?

Keep the paid plan for $24 a year (less than a pack of gum/month), or drop to the free plan, which keeps up to 5 habits forever. You never lose your history. And the course is yours for good.

Will you let me know when my year is about to renew?

Absolutely! You will receive email reminders and app notifications that your annual plan is set to renew in 30 days, 7 days, and 1 day.  You can click to dismiss the notifications and keep your plan or end your plan when it expires.  Otherwise, you'll always be able to access your subscription from the Profile > Settings section of the app or from the My profile section in the course.

I've failed at this before. Why would this time be different?

Well, one reason might be because you've been starting too big, with no guidance, and no plan for the bad days. This course starts small, plans for the slips, and gives you a daily game to play. And if it doesn't work for you, I'll buy it back.
